Break Me Completely: How AI (Does Not) Help with Pentesting

I will share my experience using AI tools to automate penetration testing from the perspective of an information security engineer for whom pentesting is not the primary area of expertise.

We will discuss how realistic and effective it is to leverage AI for conducting penetration tests as part of in-house tasks, which stages of pentesting can be automated, and where human expertise remains essential.

I will demonstrate AI-based tools and methods that simplify reconnaissance, vulnerability discovery, exploit generation, and bypassing security mechanisms. I will also share practical tips and insights about the role of AI as a partner for security professionals.
